CHERYL JOHNSONPresident
Cheryl has dedicated her life to building relationships and making a difference in the world. As a lover of journaling, photography, and meeting new people, she is thrilled to fulfill her dream job as President of Leadership Montgomery, where she connects leaders to effect change. Balancing a full-time career and raising a family, she earned a B.S. Degree in Banking from Troy University at Montgomery. Over a span of twenty years, she worked for Regions Bank and Compass Bank. Before joining Leadership Montgomery in July 2017, she served as Director of Philanthropy at Huntingdon College and as Executive Assistant to the President of Bonnie Plants in Union Springs. She actively volunteers as a board member for the Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama, is a Past President of the Montgomery Sunrise Rotary Club, and a past Honorary Commander for the 32nd Student Squadron of the Squadron Officer School at Maxwell AFB. She is a proud to be a graduate of Leadership Montgomery Class XXXIII and Leadership Alabama Class XXXII. Her recent accomplishment of becoming the first Certified Community Leadership Practitioner in Alabama is a highlight of her career. |
TAMARA HARTLEYPrOGRAM MANAGER
Tamara graduated from Troy University Montgomery with a B.S. in Business Administration and M.S. in Management. Tamara was also a member of Torchbearers Class VIII. She has a diverse professional background in business operations, including project management, non-profit, and entrepreneurship. Her work experience in operations and management qualifies her to manage the dynamics of Leadership Montgomery programs. As a native of Montgomery, AL Tamara is eager to learn more about the great city of Montgomery and how she can serve and contribute. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her two sons and family, vacationing, and being a Realtor. |
DANIELLE BARNETT ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR Danielle has a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Alabama State University and is pursuing her graduate degree in Public Administration from Troy University. Possessing more than 10 years of service skills, data analysis, and clerical business experience, she strategically implements her work qualities to aid in carrying out the mission of Leadership Montgomery. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, taking the initiative to enhance her professional skills, and investing in others.
