Applicant's Commitment
Class members are divided into small teams to work on a community class project that is designed to address a significant community issue/need. This is an extremely important part of the class; therefore, participation is mandatory. Project teams meet outside class time to plan and implement their projects. The class projects are presented to the business community prior to graduation in November.
To graduate from the program, attendance is required at the New Class Orientation, both Team Building Retreat days in their entirety, and at the Community Project Presentations. To graduate from a Leadership Montgomery Class, a participant is expected to attend all class days. The class days are scheduled once a month, with at least one class requiring a social activity at the end of the day or a homework assignment during the day. Class members are allowed to miss one class day and still be allowed to graduate. They must make up the missed class day on the next year. A partially missed day counts as an absence. If two class days are missed, the class member may not be allowed to graduate. The year following graduation, alumni are expected to:
