Thank you for your interest in Leadership Montgomery, Torchbearers Class for young professionals, age 22-39, that live or work in Montgomery County.

Tuition, Fees, and Dues

A non-refundable $60 application fee is due with the application. Your application will not be complete or considered if the application fee is not paid. Tuition is generally paid either independently, by his/her employer or sponsor. A limited number of partial needs-based tuition assistance may be available in certain cases. Tuition assistance is only available upon specific request. The Tuition Assistance application is due on JANUARY 31, 2025 with the Torchbearers Class XVII Application. Please note that applying for Tuition Assistance has no bearing whatsoever on the selection process. Everyone selected to be in the class is asked to pay something towards his/her tuition.

If accepted into the program, the applicant is responsible for a $300.00 non-refundable deposit payment towards the total $1,875.00 Tuition fee by FEBRUARY 21, 2025. The remaining balance of $1,575.00 is due by March 28, 2025. The applicant is expected to procure payment either independently, by his/her employer or sponsor. Tuition covers the program costs, transportation, lodging, printed materials, and food. However, payment plans can be arranged by the Program Manager in special circumstances. By March 28, 2025, class members tuition must be paid in full, or a payment plan, with or without tuition assistance must be set up with the Program Manager; or the class member may not be able to attend the Retreat in April. Tuition is non-refundable, in whole or in part, in the event the applicant fails to complete the program due to non-attendance or for other reasons. Tuition is subject to change.

You will need the following materials to help you complete the application. Have these items ready when you begin the application:

2. Three references: Name, Position, Telephone Number and E-mail.
3. Employment history
4. Education history
5. Awards or Special Recognitions within the past five years
6. Volunteer history
   
7. If applying for Tuition Assistance, you will need to complete the Tuition Assistance Application with your latest Federal Tax ID form. Please note that if you will need Tuition Assistance for the Torchbearers Class XVI program, you MUST turn in the Tuition Assistance Application form WITH this Application by JANUARY 31, 2025. Applying for tuition assistance has no bearing whatsoever on the selection process. You may print the Tuition Assistance application from the Class Documents link provided below, and mail to the Leadership Montgomery office, P.O. Box 366, Montgomery, Al 36101. The Tuition Assistance application form is NOT available on our website, you must print, complete and return to us either via mail, email or hand-delivery with your latest Federal Tax ID form.

Applications are taken year round. Application Deadline for Class XVII:  Friday, January 31, 2025.
